How to use the random team generator
Dividing a group into balanced teams takes just a few steps:
- Type or paste your participant names into the Enter names box (enter one name per line or separate them with commas).
- Enter the desired Number of teams in the settings box (minimum of 2).
- Click the Generate Teams button.
- Your names are randomly shuffled and assigned across the teams, displayed in a clear group grid.
How the team generator works
The generator parses your list, removes empty lines, and applies an unbiased random shuffle algorithm to the names. It then distributes the shuffled names sequentially across the specified number of teams. If the total number of names is not evenly divisible, teams will differ in size by at most one member.
